How to speed up Windows 10

Windows 10 is no doubt the best operating system for computers built by Microsoft till now. Windows 10 comes with tons of great features and customizations and customize PC according to our needs. Windows 10 is an efficient operating system and it manages most of the things on its own. Though with a period of time our system becomes a bit laggy and slow. 1) Restart your computer:

If you feel that your computer or windows 10 is working slow then the first thing and the most simple one you can do is restarting your computer. If you have been using your computer for a long time and you haven’t restarted it or turned it off then that can be the reason for the slow performance of the system. When you don’t restart or shut down your computer for too long then most of the unwanted applications keep on running in the background and use most of the resources of the system. So it is advisable to restart or shut down your computer after an adequate interval of time. It will kill the unwanted processes that were using the resources of the system and make the system fast.

2) Remove the bloatware/unwanted applications:

There are always some of the applications in our systems that we call bloatware or unwanted apps that we rarely use. These applications keep on using our system’s resources and our main applications that we use most don’t get enough resources. Many of the vendors ship their products with a lot of bloatware which is not good for smooth user experience.

3) Getting Updated:

4) Keep fewer programs at startup:

Programs at startup are those programs that get started automatically when the system starts. When you keep a lot of startup programs then it increases the load on the system and they use the majority share of the resources of the system making your system laggy and slow. 5) Add more RAM to your PC:

There are basically two types of storage comes in PCs. They are SSD and HDD. SSD is comparatively faster than HDD and SSD is preferred over HDD. SSD is short for Solid State Drive and it can handle the pressure of the processor more easily and to the higher limits that HDD can’t do. If you have an SDD as a startup drive then your system will boot faster and will increase the speed of the system.

7) Cleaning your Disks:

A slower Window 10 or PC can be a reason of unwanted and trash files that you don’t want anymore present on your disks. You should run a Disk Cleanup to clean the unwanted file that is just using the space and resources of your system.

Although Windows 10 is well optimized still there are many animations and special effects that can make your system a little laggy and slow. You can turn then off if you want a smooth experience.
